Neil Schwartz


Neil Schwartz brings over 26 years of experience in market research and consumer insights to The Run Matters Podcast. In the last 16 years, he has focused on the active lifestyle categories in sports, fitness, outdoor, and athleisure. As a self-proclaimed data nerd, Neil was previously the Vice President of Market Insights for SportsOnceSource, focused on helping brands, retailers, and the financial community get the most possible from data. Prior to that, Neil was Director of Research for the Sports & Fitness Industry Association, (SFIA). Neil is an industry expert and thought leader when it comes to understanding consumer trends. He lives in Boca Raton, FL with his wife, Jeanne, and is affectionately known as “The Grand Poobah” by his two grandchildren.

Mark Sullivan is a journalist who has covered the sport and business of running for more than 30 years.

His articles have been published in Runner’s World and The Running Network.

He is the co-founder of the Running Event, the world’s largest trade show for the running business.
